How OutlayHQ collects, uses and protects your personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. We never see your card details, and your data is stored securely.

Last updated: 7 June 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how [Registered business name] (ABN [ABN]) handles personal information when you use OutlayHQ, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Effective date: 7 June 2026.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and, if you provide it, a display name.
  • Usage and tool data: the bankrolls, sessions and bet records you create in the tools, and your settings (such as preferred currency, theme and responsible-gambling limits).
  • Subscription information: your subscription status. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not collect or store your full card details.
  • Technical information: basic logs and device/browser data needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information.

  • To provide the Service: your account, cloud sync, and saved tool data.
  • To manage subscriptions and access (free vs Pro).
  • To support responsible-gambling features you choose to set, such as limits and cool-off periods.
  • To secure, maintain and improve the Service, and to comply with our legal obligations.

4. Where your data is stored

Your account and tool data are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) in an Australian region, with row-level security so that only you can access your own records. The Service is delivered via our hosting provider (Vercel). Some providers may process limited data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection.

5. Third parties

  • Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing (handles card data directly; we receive only subscription status).
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (sign-in links, confirmations).
  • Google Analytics — anonymous, aggregated website-usage analytics so we can improve the Service. We do not sell your data.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme. We also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features (such as staying signed in) may then not work.

7. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (subject to records we must retain by law).

8. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may request deletion of your account. To make a request, email support@outlayhq.com.au.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Security & data breaches

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including row-level access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach likely to cause serious harm occurs, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

11. Complaints and contact

To raise a privacy question or complaint, email support@outlayhq.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
